09/03/08 Welcome back to school! this year I have a new LCD projector, but I need a macbook. http://www.apple.com/macbook/ Donations gratefully accepted for this fabulous technology. This technology would allow me to present lessons from powerpoint and online, to post grades online, and to upload class notes to school website so parents can keep up with everything that we do in class.
Parents please encourage your child’s success in my class by doing the following daily:
- Check for completion of assignments.
- Check web site on a regular basis. Notify me if there are any questions or concerns. My email address is miss2chiu@gmail.com
- Provide a quiet area and designate a time for study and homework.
- Talk to your child about what s/he is learning.
- Celebrate your child’s success no matter how small.
- Set high expectations.
